How the Countdown Works

The page subtracts the current time on your device from the target time and splits the difference into days, hours, minutes and seconds. It uses your device’s time zone, including any daylight saving change in between.

Days = ⌊difference ÷ 86,400 s⌋, then hours, minutes and seconds from the remainder
